Descending Shadows
The slow burn. It starts smooth and controlled, then builds into a deep, sweet, dark profile. Patience pays off.
$13.05
Descending Shadows is built around slow building strength and darker Nicaraguan character. An Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper covers a Nicaraguan blend with filler from Esteli, Condega, and Ometepe, opening controlled then gaining weight through cedar, earth, black pepper, toasted tobacco, leather, roasted nuts, and a dark natural sweetness. It does not come out swinging like Cataclysm, so take your time and let it build. Offered in a 6 x 54 toro and a 5 x 48 robusto.

Tasting notes
Descending Shadows is the slow builder of the core three. It opens controlled with earth and spice under a glossy Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper, then gains weight through cedar, black pepper, toasted tobacco, leather, and roasted nuts. As it develops, brown sugar, black coffee, and dark chocolate come forward, with an undercurrent of natural sweetness that keeps the darker notes in balance. Reviewers call it a well constructed medium to full smoke that puts out plenty of flavorful smoke from Esteli, Condega, and Ometepe filler.
